A Little About CLI & Its Founder

CLI has been helping schools, colleges and universities for three decades. Susan Cain, Ed. D., LCSW has designed and delivered hundreds of workshops, programs and resources for client organizations worldwide.

Dr. Cain is Co-founder and Partner at the Corporate Learning Institute, an organizational consulting firm based in Lisle, Illinois at the Marriott Hickory Ridge Conference Hotel.

Dr. Cain is an expert in the field of training and development. She has developed and led programs in the areas of outdoor education, team building, leadership development, accelerated learning, communication skill building, change management and strategic planning. Dr. Cain works nationally and internationally. Some of her clients include Argonne National Laboratories, Tellabs, Whirlpool Corporation, The Kellogg Company, C/D/H, Amway, OWP&P, Herman Miller, Meijer, Sear’s, and Allstate.

Dr. Cain's Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology was awarded to her in 1981 from Elmhurst College. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work & Administrative Management from the University of Chicago in 1986. Susan completed her Doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership at Argosy University in 2010.

Dr. Cain serves as adjunct faculty at Benedictine University. She is also a current field instructor for the University of Chicago, the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and Penn State University.
