Student Retention - Increasing & Improving it.

According to the 2004 ACT Policy report, these factors affect student retention and success and include:
Academic self-confidence and a sense of achievement.
Motivation, institutional commitment, and social support.
Student Success Programs are designed to strengthen the student’s sense of community, support and personal efficacy.
Just from our brief on-campus orientation sessions, CLI pre/post survey evaluations showed that students evaluated impressive gains in the area of feeling supported, worthwhile and socially attached. It could be observed that students’ energy levels increased and that they appeared connected and relaxed at the conclusion of the program. Later college-generated program evaluations showed that the program produced gains in the area of students’ opportunity to meet and get to know each other, and their sense of “feeling at home.” This is key to increasing and improving student retention.
At our location at the Lisle Marriott Hickory Ridge Conference Hotel , we offer four adventure sites, each designed to allow your small-to-larger groups to participate on a variety of adventure activities, from low initiatives to the high ropes course.
